Freeze-drying, insist on it! At Forever Yours Flower Preservation, we use expert care and state-of-the-art freeze-drying techniques when working with your special bouquet. If your flowers are truly a keepsake, professional freeze-drying is what you need. Freeze-drying is less stressful on the flowers and enables the use of pre-treatments (see below) that are not available for other methods. This gives you the best possible results, not just a few months later but for many years. Other methods may yield good results at first but with a dramatic color loss only weeks later. Receiving Your Flowers: To start, we offer a pick-up service right to your event site so that we can receive your flowers in the best condition possible. This also affords you a great convenience on what is surely a hectic day. You can also drop them off to us or ask your florist if they can coordinate with us for you. Documentation: Our preservation process begins with a detailed documentation of your bouquet including digital photos. Individually Processed: We disassemble the bouquet and each flower is processed individually for the highest quality results. We do not cheat the process by cutting corners and freeze-drying the whole bouquet. Pre-treatment: Several different pre-treatments are available to increase durability and color retention as much as possible during the drying process. We use the industry's latest developments in pre-treatments and skillfully apply them. Post-treatment: This important part of the process involves several steps, taking several days to complete, with specific techniques used for the various species that may be in your bouquet. This increases color retention, shatter resistance, and reduces shedding. Your flowers are given the latest developments in post-treatments. Reconstruction: The bouquet is then reassembled, mounted to an attractive backing, and placed in a high quality display case with a UV-filtering protective lens, all of which you choose. Your Custom Display: Creativity, craftsmanship and quality material are key. If you have photographs, invitations or other items to be included, we will create a design to make it all work for you. We provide all the consultation you need to make sure your keepsake ends up looking just the way you want it. Custom work is our specialty and we love doing it.
Many clients take advantage of our pick-up service where flowers receive pre-treatment immediately during transit back to our shop. This gets your flowers into our preservation cycle quicker, easier and leaves you with less to do. We can also assist you in identifying flowers and colors that preserve best. |
